Welding Robots Applications For Assisting The Human

Welding robot is a mechanized programmable tools which is used to automate the welding process by both performing the weld and handling the part. Robot-based automation increases the efficiency of welding processes which is able to produce more products in a very less time and least cost.

Welding process by the robot is used to increase the quality and meet production requirements of the product. There are so many applications of welding robots which are assisting by their different ways in different fields.

Let’s check out some welding robots applications that are used:

    Arc Welding:
If we are talking about the welding robots applications then Arc welding comes first in the list. It uses an electric arc between an electrode and a metal base using either consumable or non-consumable electrodes. You will always see the best use of welding robots in steel product and automobile manufacturing. It’s a process that is used to apply intense heat to the metal at a joint. It has several benefits such as decreased cycle times, enhanced efficiency and improved weld consistency.
    Electron Beam Welding:
It’s a synthesis welding process that is used to join two materials by using a beam of high-velocity electrons. The beam produces the kinetic energy which transforms into heat upon impact, melting the work pieces and connecting them with a fusion weld. Many used welding robots are also used to weld in medium or non-vacuum conditions. There are several used robots models available that can perform electronic beam welding such as used Fanuc robots.
    Flux Cored Welding:
It is also known as flux cored arc welding (FCAW). It’s a welding process that requires a continuously-fed consumable electrode containing a flux and a constant-voltage. Its high welding speed increase the productivity with very least cost. It was developed as an alternative to shielded metal arc welding which is used on stainless steels, low alloy steels and some wear facing/surfacing alloy.
    Laser Welding:
It is one of the highest using welding’s by robots. It has multi-axis mechanical arm along with a laser cutting head mounted to the faceplate of the robot arm. Apart from that it has a gas delivery package for distributing the gas as oxygen or nitrogen. Most organizations use a laser generator to deliver the laser light to the robot cutting head through a fiber-optic cable. With the help of this laser welding, manufacturers gets a high quality wield.
    Plasma Cutting:
Plasma cutting is procedure of high-velocity ionized gas that is known as Plasma to heat and melt metals. It is used to cut the steel or a non-ferrous material less than one inch thick. The process delivers a high quality cut with faster travel speed. It is able to create great shape and angle as well as smooth surface.
The list of Welding robots applications is too large because it offers so many applications such as Mig Welding, Plasma Welding, Spot Welding, Resistance Welding and much more. These applications are used in different manner in different fields but one thing is common that is to provide more productivity with least amount.

ABB Robots is a Boon in Robotics Industry

Robots have become a necessity in every field for a better outcome. As these robots are genius its manufacturer are two steps ahead from it. They observe the normal activities that are going in various sectors and after that they code their robots in that manner so that they can assist in the best manner in which they are designed.
When it comes to Robotic then Used ABB Robots has proved as a boon in Robotics industry. It is multinational cooperation headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. ABB mainly deals with robots and the power and automation technology areas. It is one the leading manufacturers that provides industrial robots and robot systems in around 100 countries.
It is one of the largest engineering companies that supply robots; robots spare parts, process equipment and peripheral equipment. Apart from that it also deals with welding, assembly, handling, painting and finishing, machine tending and many more.
ABB is known as one of the finest product supplier around the globe in which more than 4,600 employees are serving around the world. ABB has launched its first paint robot in 1969 that was the first commercially available with micro-processor controlled. More than 250,000 ABB robots has installed worldwide.
Apart from robots it also provides second hand robots that covers the market such as foundry, solar, plastics, pharmaceutical, wood, machine tool and many more. Although these robots are not so popular in comparison to Fanuc or Motoman robots but most automotive companies prefer to use these robots.
It has proved as a boon in robotics industry as it provides different packaging options for its customers that are necessary for keep production in running order. The options are related to many subjects as for large or small installations, including filters, oil and grease, fans, seals, etc. Apart from that it also offer an exchange unit to its customers which is used to replace, repair for the factory guaranteed parts that are supplied and requested to work on damaged units.
ABB provides a complete range of robots and its part to its customers. ABB always ready with new, repaired and exchange robots parts with full guarantee. It also offers lots of different shipping options are available as economy, express or emergency shipment that is helpful to deliver the product as soon as possible depending on the urgency.
It has its training centers to train the people about the ABB products. You can also learn it via internet. Internet based training is called e-learning or webinar which is normally a prerequisite for advanced training and certification. Apart from that ABB provides the facility for research, development and manufacturing in various locations as Norway, Czech Republic, Mexico, Sweden, China, Japan and USA.
ABB has established a huge network as a partner that includes machine builders, system integrators, and distributers. These partners have a long experience of integrating ABB products into production processes. Apart from that they also help in training and information resources by making them full equipped ABB products and systems. ABB offers many robots that are different in sizes but one thing is common among them that is cost effectiveness.
